Season 3 of Deal or No Deal Celebrity SA, sponsored by LottoStar, brought the excitement of the game together with a cause worth playing for, shining a spotlight on the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PFSA), an organisation dedicated to addressing hunger and improving school nutrition across the Western Cape.
Celebrities stepped up to take on the Banker for PFSA, together raising an incredible R698,500 for its Nutrition Support Programme.
For 681 learners, it means breakfast and lunch every day for an entire school year. That’s 258,704 meals, giving children the energy to concentrate, focus and participate fully in the classroom.
For more than six decades, PFSA has worked to address hunger in schools, providing daily nutrition to thousands of learners. Their work goes even further by providing schools with the ingredients and equipment needed for the meals, while training community volunteers to prepare and serve them.
It’s a powerful reminder that when entertainment and purpose come together, they can create greater awareness for organisations like PFSA and help their work reach even further.
