Elle Raphela – A Story of Strength.
Elle, a Grade 8 learner is a true inspiration. Born with a condition affecting her right leg and Scoliosis, she underwent a through-knee amputation at just three years old. In 2018, she became a Jumping Kids Prosthetic Fund recipient, receiving her first prosthetic leg.
Despite her challenges, Elle thrives both at home and at school. She is a hardworking student, passionate about learning, and a role model to those around her.

What is your favourite subject at school and why?
"My favourite subject is Technology because I have a passion for building things."
What would you like to pursue as a career one day?
"I would like to study to become a physiotherapist one day."
What types of sports and extracurricular activities are you involved in?
"I am involved in swimming."
What is your message to children living with a physical challenge?
"My message to other children living with physical challenges is to just keep going and always give your best."
Elle's determination and positive attitude prove that no obstacle is too big to overcome. She continues to inspire others with her resilience, ambition and drive to achieve her goals.
